Delivered in collaboration with bilal.agency. onebyzero is a London production house that helps international brands and agencies shoot and produce in the UK, from photography to brand film to full post-production. We stepped in mid-build to finish and refine the site, and then had to absorb a full brand rename, from Crave Studio to onebyzero, without losing the launch date. The result is a fast, reusable Framer build that lets a busy production team add new work without ever opening a code editor.
Scope of Work

Two days into the handover, the studio told us they had to rename the entire brand. The logo, the identity and most of the visual direction stayed the same, but the name changed everywhere it appeared on the site, starting with the hero and the footer. We rebuilt the hero copy and treatment around the new onebyzero reference while keeping the shoot timeline intact, including a play-reel hover animation tied to the mouse on desktop and a dedicated play-button layout for phone and tablet.

The core of the site is the Work section, and it needed to scale without needing a developer for every new case study. We built one reusable CMS template: set the structure once, and every new project page inherits it automatically. Genre and category fields populate from CMS input, cover images only appear when actually uploaded, and video or image stacks can be swapped per project without touching the layout. One project shot in vertical video needed its own full-screen vertical preview instead of the default horizontal treatment, handled as a one-off variant on the same template.

The About section started as a single photo next to a block of text. We restructured it: removed the opening blurb, promoted the text beside the photograph into its place, and turned the small single-image gallery into a wider visual gallery showing three photos at once, on desktop and mobile alike. Interaction details got the same attention throughout, hover-only reveals for the services list on desktop, a sticky scroll behaviour on tablet and mobile, and the homepage "hello" contact animation tuned from 0.8 seconds up to 1.3 for a better feel.

With the launch date fixed and a handful of complex items still unresolved, testimonials and the "View more projects" section, we made the call to ship without them and complete both the following week. That kept the site live on schedule while the remaining CMS automation was finished properly rather than rushed.

The relationship didn't end at launch. In the months after, we added a new CMS-driven case-study page for a design festival feature, corrected testimonial content, wrote a GDPR-compliant privacy policy and cookie setup for the UK market, and fixed cross-device responsiveness after a separate SEO contractor's edits broke the mobile layout. The studio also flagged and rejected a black-hat hidden-text SEO suggestion they'd received elsewhere, choosing the slower, ethical route instead.
