Home Front is a new Sydney residential design and construction studio. They needed a site that looked legitimate enough to win business from day one, on a tight budget and a fast timeline. I designed and built the full single-page site in Framer, built around six native-hosted videos, a custom code component, and a mobile-first performance pass, delivered fully responsive.
Scope of Work

The site is built around six native-hosted videos that carry the storytelling end to end, from the hero through the team and studio sections. Compression was tuned for speed over sharpness at the client's request, so the site stays fast without losing the cinematic feel that makes a new studio look credible.

One section needed a heading to swap mid-scroll ("Designed to be loved" to "Built to last") in sync with the video underneath it. I built a custom code component that reads the video's own playback position directly, rather than a page timer, so the swap never drifts out of sync even on a slow connection.

Mobile performance was the real challenge: an autoplaying hero video is naturally the slowest thing on the page to paint, and the client wanted to keep it rather than swap it for a static image. The fix was a real image layer placed behind the video in the same frame, so the image paints first and becomes the measured load, while the video still autoplays on top a moment later. Got mobile load time under the best target while keeping the video-led hero intact.

Beyond the hero, the build includes a full team and advisory panel section, a "what we stand for" values section built from scratch, and a contact form with a custom confirmation message. Every section was built to hold up under the client's own close review across desktop, tablet and mobile.

Finished with a full SEO pass (meta, Open Graph image, alt text, sitemap, robots.txt), a light/dark favicon, and cross-browser QA. Custom domain connected and launched within the client's timeline ahead of him traveling.
